11/9/2023 0 Comments Lvp home depotIt is also not the sort of ‘carefree’ floor you want with kids and pets. The claims to ‘it can be refinished’ are basically fiction. Poor quality engineered is to be avoided. If you want the ease of install and relatively low price, LVP/LVT or laminate are the two that fit.Įngineered flooring is not in that class in my market, reasonable quality in engineered is more expensive here. But if you do have problems, don't expect them to honor their warranty. And I wonder if the 24x24 LVP tile is just a bad product. I've seen many reviews where people had positive experiences. After I provided information that state law required it, they ceased communicating with me.ĭespite being sold exclusively at Home Depot, HD does not own them and quickly bowed out. They responded that they didn't have one. After going back and forth, I finally asked who their agent of service is in my state because I was planning to take them to small claims court (they have no offices in my state). Based on this, they voided the warranty on all the flooring. They sent an inspector who "discovered" one single pinch point where I supposedly didn't give the required space between the LVP and piece of trim. LifeProof says that they have a lifetime warranty, so I made a claim. Currently, there's not a single room where it isn't either cupping or breaking where they click together. The last of it about a year later (whole house renovation). The first of the tile went down about a month later. I bought $5K worth, had it shipped to the house, where it was stored inside with the AC. Decided to use a 24 inch by 24 inch LifeProof LVP tile throughout the house. TLDR: Looking for feedback on lifespan of Lifeproof LVP from people who have used it for awhile. I've read through a lot of threads and people seem satisfied with LifeProof within the first year or so, but I'm looking for feedback from people who've had it longer. I'm also still mad at them over our disaster fence install. ETA: We also have an existing account with Lowe's but have not looked to see if they have any offers. I'm looking at LifeProof at HD because they keep offering me good financing at 0%. I like some of the colors in Traffic Master, but I'm afraid the quality wouldn't be good enough? (feedback on that also welcome) I took a very rough room measurement and I probably need about 400sqft with HD's recommended extra 10%. This would be our first DIY home improvement project and I'm nervous. Family of 4 (kids are teens now), 1 dog, current plan is to stay in the house at least another 10+ years. It's on the first floor but we have a basement underneath. I want to install floors in our living area, which is currently carpet.
